Counseling of Birth Parents

OAS provides pregnancy counseling services to birth parents. Services may include:

1. Counseling to help resolve immediate physical, social, and emotional needs.

2. Counseling to help handle emotional adjustment associated with situations and decisions to be made during pregnancy and after delivery.

3. Information and referral to community resources to meet immediate and long-term goals. Resources may include medical services, residential placement, legal advice, employment training, and educational opportunities.

4. On-going support and connecting services between birth and adoptive parents.
